Infection Control Double-blind Study shows "Superior Performance" of Bio-Safe™
The study was conducted in two 34-bed medical units at a Canadian community acute care hospital. the purpose was to evaluate whether the regular use of Bio-Safe™ Skin Protectant resulted in reduction in nosocomial MRSA transmission. Those patients hospitalized in the "control" unit were 9.3 times more likely to develop nosocomial MRSA. The results of this study suggest Bio-Safe™ Skin Protectant "may have a significant impact on nosocomial MRSA."
Oral Toxicity Test
Classified as orally Non-Toxic There were no abnormal findings. The results indicate the lotion is orally non-toxic - even at a dose level that would be lethally toxic to 50% of the subjects. Test performed by AMA Laboratories, Inc.
Eye Irritation Test (Draize Test)
Classified as Non-Irritating: Bio-Safe™ lotion was non-irritating, with no irritation in any of the areas of the eye on any of the subjects (all scores of "0"). Test performed by AMA Laboratories, Inc.
Bacterial Inhibitions

Bio-Safe™ Antibacterial Residue Test
Reduction of Bacteria Counts: A modified glove-juice test demonstrated a reduction of bacteria counts three hours following treatment of the hands.
Dermal Absorption of MEK Test
Absorbed Less MEK: Mocon Labs found there was 740 times less MEK absorbed through skin treated with Bio-Safe™ Skin Protectant than with untreated skin.
